Website & Prototype Development

Sasha contributed to the development of the project's website and application prototype, helping transform the team's concepts into a functional and user-centered platform. She also conducted research on UI/UX design implementation to support an intuitive, accessible, and patient-friendly experience that prioritized usability and engagement.

Patient Symptom Research & Breast Cancer Research

Abigail led the patient-centered research efforts for the project, focusing on the emotional, physical, and psychological experiences patients encounter throughout the cancer care journey. Her work examined challenges related to symptom communication, continuity of care, and patient support within clinical settings, with a particular emphasis on breast cancer patient experiences and gaps in existing healthcare systems.

Patient & Survivor Insight

Allison provided valuable first-hand insight as a cancer survivor, sharing her experiences navigating treatment, symptom management, provider communication, and survivorship. Her contributions helped the team better understand unmet patient needs and identify opportunities to improve emotional support, care coordination, and the overall patient experience.

Valerie contributed important patient and survivor perspectives that helped inform the project's understanding of the cancer care experience beyond the clinical setting. Through sharing her personal experiences, she provided insight into the challenges patients face during diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, as well as areas where additional support and resources could improve quality of care.

Kelly Santoro

Clinical Insight & Care Process Guidance

Kelly provided clinical expertise and guidance regarding cancer care workflows, patient management processes, and symptom monitoring practices within healthcare settings. Her insight helped the team better understand how providers collect and utilize patient information, manage treatment experiences, and support patients throughout the continuum of care, while also identifying opportunities for improving communication and patient-centered support systems.
